Writing this collection of songs was a way of looking back fondly on my family traditions, but also coming to terms with the fact that I may not get to share Christmas with them. I hope they can act as a comfort to the listener but also a reflection of the sadness that not being with loved ones can bring.”

“The songs Home This Year and Something About Christmas are about my family’s celebrations, whereas All I Need For Christmas is more of a love song, recognition that all I really need is my husband by my side. Forgive Me is an apology for not making it home, and finally This Is The Year ends the EP on an optimistic note - New Year’s Resolutions come from a place of positivity, and taking that positivity and running with it is the key.”
